Last Saturday, April 27th, my sister and I were at Second Time Books in Rancocas Woods. We had fun signing books. I even found a copy of The Complete Tales and Poems of Edgar Allan Poe! Such an exciting day! We’ll be back at the bookstore in 2025. Stay tuned to hear more.

I have been published once again in Sirens Call Publications! Their Spring Issue is out now with my short story, ‘Devoured’ on page 45. Check it out when you have a moment. Here’s the link: http://sirenscallpub.com/

Look at these wonderful cookies made by ChompSweets for my book signing. It’s the title of Aria’s second book! So cute!

Podcast:  My sister and I had so much fun on Kathleen Walls podcast as we talked about our books, our publishing process and our genres. You can watch the recording. Follow this link: https://www.youtube.com/live/DewG1HKnZAU?si=GYKSHRJimBIwDRgY

A review from Amazon: Demons and Shifters and Me. Oh My! Was a captivating novel that had me hooked from the very first page. Written by an incredibly talented author, this book is a perfect blend of romance, paranormal elements, and thrilling suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end.
One of the aspects of the novel that I thoroughly enjoyed was the tension between the two love interests. The chemistry between the characters was electric, and the push-and-pull dynamic between them added an extra layer of excitement to the story. I found myself eagerly anticipating their interactions, rooting for them to overcome their differences and find happiness together. The author masterfully crafted their relationship, making me emotionally invested in their journey and leaving me eagerly turning the pages to see how their story would unfold.

From the Book

You Had Me At Hell

Merry Marcellino invites you to delve into the world of magic with her sequel, You Had Me At Hell, the next chapter in the paranormal romance featuring witches, shifters, and demons… Now embraced as an integral member of the pack, Aria finds herself entwined with Rafe, the enigmatic alpha who ignites a passionate connection within her. However, amidst the tranquility of Moondrift, a sinister presence lurks – the Daemonium Factiosi, thirsty for Aria's extraordinary power. As the shadows of danger deepen, a haunting revelation surfaces: someone knows of Aria's demonic abilities, believed to be buried with the farmhouse's tragic demise and Scarlett's betrayal. With Rafe by her side, Aria confronts her darker instincts, grappling with the temptation of lethal force as malevolent forces threaten all she holds dear. Will Aria succumb to the seduction of her amplifying power, or will she defy the darkness that threatens to consume her? Embark on an electrifying journey alongside Aria as she battles for her loved ones and struggles to tame the potent allure of her power.

Rafe, the alpha wolf.

“Please Rafe. I want to do this.” “If I say no, you’ll go anyway.” He shut his eyes and cursed under his breath. “I want to say I won’t, but I want this to end. We can go back to our normal lives. Get married, go about normal pack business. Please Rafe. I don’t want to go if you’re angry with me. I can’t leave you if you’re angry with me.” He let go of me then. Pacing, he ran his hand over his face. This was going to cost him. He had to suppress his controlling nature, which was like holding back the tide. He faced me, his countenance blank like armor against his feelings and helplessness.

Aria

Zizzellis eyed me like today’s lunch and stalked forward. “Now you will see what happens to those who try to steal what is mine.” Her voice was deep, and cold as ice. Wait. What? “What are you talking about? I don’t have anything of yours. I came from Earth plane.” She was as nuts as the rest of them, more psycho killer though. “He is mine, and you cannot have him.” She ran her tongue along her fangs, ready to strike. “Who the hell are you talking about? The only he I have or want is my mate, Rafe. He’s on Earth plane waiting for me.” She hesitated, then continued forward. “Do not try to confound me with your words. I know you came with Vorgith. He is mine.” “Wait. You think I want Vorgith? He’s like a brother to me. I don’t want him as a mate. I told you I have a mate.” She stopped walking and put away her fangs. She tilted her head to the side, then she glanced around at the fighting. “You do not want my Vorgith?” Her Vorgith? He had some explaining to do. “No. Like I said, he is more of a brother to me. An older, crazier brother, but a brother nonetheless.” She blinked, then squinted at me. Pulling out my phone, I brought up Rafe’s picture, thankful cell phones worked in Hell. “This is my mate, Rafe.” She edged toward me, with mistrust. Peering over the phone, she glimpsed at the picture. “Hmmm. He is handsome, for a human.” “He’s a shifter. A wolf, and alpha of his pack. He’s my mate.” I told her proudly.

News and Other Info

If you’re curious how I came to write, Demons and Shifters and Me. Oh My!, here is the story. I’ve always loved to write even as a kid. I hadn’t written in a while, except for short stories for my friend’s children or grandchildren. In October of 2020, my mother passed away and I was depressed. So much so that I was annoyed with myself and I knew I had to find my ‘happy’ again. In February of 2021 I wrote Aria’s first story and it only took three months. I’d found my ‘happy’! I found a wonderful site, Critique Circle, where you can critique people’s writing and they can return the favor. I took the online workshops offered by various people. I found all of this by browsing. I have to admit, after taking classes online, I wanted to quit writing. Don’t do this, don’t use this word. But I remembered something someone told me. Don’t write for others, write for yourself. So my next goal was to publish. I went the self-publishing route and Demons and Shifters and Me. Oh My! Was live in April of 2023!

It has been an exciting and sometimes frustrating time and a learning experience. I’m still  learning and have found a great group of authors with the Twitter #writingcommunity. That is how I began my writing journey as my ‘happy’ place and I’m not going to slow down or stop! I hope you enjoy my book! ,
